Let's start at the very beginning

I've always been overweight. Not huge, but just not where I need to be. My whole family struggles with weight issues, but I know that's not an excuse to just let myself be a sloth. I've never enjoyed any sort of physical activity, let alone running. I married a wonderful man, who happened to be in the Army, and who had to run at least 3 times a week. He's recently gotten into barefoot running, and the desire he has to go out there and run has inspired me. I need to lose weight, I need to be healthy, and I want to enjoy running with my husband. This blog will serve to keep me accountable to running/meeting my goals/getting healthier. Anyone who has been/going through this is welcome to stop by and give me advice.

The Lord Bless you and Keep you

  1. My advice to you? Take it one step at a time. You will be amazed at what your body can do with just a little pushing. Love you!

  2. First of all, you are gorgeous, and don't let anyone else, including yourself tell you different.

Second of all, good for you! Even though it's unpleasant at first, which I'm learning, exercise is good for you mentally, physically and emotionally.

Third of all, a word of caution on blogging on this. Don't be discouraged. I tried blogging last year on my journey, but stopped when my self-discipline did. Keep with it =)

Fourth and finally, love the title =)

    love you girly!

  3. I'm proud of you for wanting to focus on getting some exercise and being healthier! I agree with E that you should start slowly and carefully, so that you don't over-do at the beginning. One step at a time is good advice! Maybe she can give you some pointers, 'cause I certainly have never done any running.

Make sure you have a back-up plan if you don't want to run outdoors in bad weather (some people do it, other's don't)...Like going to the gym to use the indoor track or a treadmill.

It's so easy to have lots of reasons not to exercise, but you will start mentally feeling better every time you do it! It's a great boost for chasing away the gloom!

You and E are inspiring me to get back on track with my treadmill, and so I'm going to start using the exercise tracker again.

Love ya, Sweet-Girl! This will be YOUR YEAR!
